Clocky는 사람마다 다른 시간 인식을 모티브로 하여 제작된 시간 제품 시리즈입니다.시계의 숫자를 단순히 읽는 것이 아닌, 새로운 시간 개념을 제시합니다.
하루가 길게 느껴지나요, 아니면 짧게 느껴지나요? 사람마다 시간에 대한 인식은 다르고 주관적입니다. Clocky는 이러한 다양한 시간 인식에서 영감을 받아, 각자의 시간 감각을 반영한 제품입니다. 특히 시간의 압박을 느끼는 사람들을 위해, 시간의 흐름을 시각적·감각적으로 표현하여 사용자들이 시간에 대한 새로운 인식을 하고 부담을 줄일 수 있도록 설계되었습니다. 이를 통해 단순한 시계 이상의 의미를 지니며, 시간의 상대성을 경험하게 합니다.
Does the day feel long or short? Each person's perception of time is different and subjective. Clocky is inspired by these different perceptions of time and is a product that reflects each person's sense of time. Especially for people who feel pressured by time, it was designed to help users gain a new perception of time and reduce their burden by expressing the passage of time visually and sensuously. This means it is more than just a watch, and allows you to experience the relativity of time.
The Solution
인터뷰를 통해 사람마다 시간 인식이 다르고, 시간에 대한 강박감이 생기는 순간도 다양함을 확인했습니다. 단순히 시간이 부족해서가 아니라, 시간이 흐르고 있다는 사실이 압박으로 느껴진다는 의견이 많았습니다. 이를 바탕으로, 시간을 인식하면서도 스트레스를 줄일 방법을 고민하게 되었습니다.
해결책을 찾는 과정에서 멍때리기나 마음을 진정시키는 제품들이 인기를 끌고 있는 점에 주목했습니다. 예를 들어, 물소리 같은 자연의 소리를 제공하는 제품들이 있습니다. 이러한 아이디어를 바탕으로 Clocky는 시간을 체험하면서도 부담을 덜 수 있도록 설계되어, 시간을 편안하게 받아들이게 해줍니다.
Through the interviews, we confirmed that each person has a different perception of time, and that the moments when they feel an obsession with time also vary. There were many comments that it was not simply a lack of time, but that the fact that time was passing felt like pressure. Based on this, I started thinking about ways to reduce stress while recognizing time.
In the process of finding a solution, we noticed that mind-boggling and calming products were becoming popular. For example, there are products that provide natural sounds such as the sound of water. Based on this idea, Clocky is designed to help you experience time while reducing the burden, allowing you to accept time comfortably.
클라키 1은 시소처럼 좌우로 움직이는 파이프 구조를 통해 시간의 흐름을 시각적으로 표현합니다. 파이프의 움직임에 따라 흰 공과 검정 공이 자연스럽게 오르내리며, 이 변화를 통해 시간의 흐름을 감각적으로 느낄 수 있게 합니다. 단순한 시간 측정을 넘어, 공의 움직임을 통해 시간의 흐름을 동적으로 경험하게 하여 시간의 경과를 시각적으로 체험하는 새로운 방식의 시계입니다.
Clocky 1 visually expresses the passage of time through a pipe structure that moves left and right like a seesaw. The white and black balls naturally rise and fall as the pipe moves, and this change allows you to sensibly feel the passage of time. This is a new type of watch that goes beyond simple time measurement and allows you to visually experience the passage of time by dynamically experiencing the flow of time through the movement of a ball.
클라키 3은 앞서 소개한 1, 2와는 차별화된 방식으로 시간을 시각화합니다. 상단의 접시 모양 판이 회전하면서, 그 위에 놓인 공이 움직이는 독특한 구조를 통해 시간을 나타냅니다. 중심에 위치한 구체가 회전할 때마다 접시 판이 함께 회전하여 공의 위치를 변화시키고, 이를 통해 사용자는 공의 움직임을 통해 시간의 흐름을 자연스럽게 인지할 수 있습니다. 클라키 3은 정교한 메커니즘을 통해 시간의 변화를 역동적으로 표현하며, 시각적 경험을 제공하는 예술적 시계입니다
Clocky 3 visualizes time in a different way than 1 and 2 introduced previously. It displays time through a unique structure in which the dish-shaped plate at the top rotates and the ball placed on it moves. Whenever the sphere located in the center rotates, the plate rotates together to change the position of the ball, allowing users to naturally perceive the passage of time through the movement of the ball. Clarky 3 is an artistic watch that dynamically expresses changes in time through a sophisticated mechanism and provides a visual experience.
클라키 2는 원형 파이프 구조를 중심으로 시간을 시각적으로 표현하는 독창적인 디자인을 갖추고 있습니다. 파이프의 안쪽과 바깥쪽을 따라 검정 공과 흰 공이 각각 회전하며 공의 움직임을 통해 시간의 흐름을 나타냅니다. 이 두 공의 궤적은 마치 서로 다른 궤도를 도는 행성처럼 보이며, 사용자는 그 움직임을 통해 자연스럽게 시간의 경과를 인식하게 됩니다. 이를 통해 클라키 2는 시간의 흐름을 단순히 표시하는 것을 넘어, 시각적이고 동적인 방식으로 경험하게 합니다.
Clocky 2 has a unique design that visually represents time, centered around a circular pipe structure. A black ball and a white ball rotate along the inside and outside of the pipe, respectively, and the movement of the balls represents the passage of time. The trajectories of these two balls look like planets orbiting in different orbits, and users naturally perceive the passage of time through their movements. Through this, Clarkie 2 goes beyond simply showing the passage of time, allowing you to experience it in a visual and dynamic way.
